coming & going EXCERPT
Coming and Going (7'42'') is a single-channel projection / video. It is looped portraying constant movement across the screen. The audio track is unobtrusive containing mainly the sound of steps in snow but also moments of unexpected dialogue. Due to the repetition of the footage it may seem that the full story is soon revealed but staying with the video longer exposes moments where the roles of a child and adult are questioned in a humorous way. I still find this mesmerising. This extract does not reveal the surprises - for those the full video should be viewed!
